Lois Duncan
Her Early Life,
Lois Duncan was born on April 28th, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA. During her early life she was raised in Sarasota, Florida. She discovered her writing talent at a young age. When she was ten years old she began writing for and contributing to magazines, selling her 1st stories when she was 13. Since she made money out of that she bought herself her own car. She also left school early to seek marriage.

She attended Duke University in 1952. She found it difficult to adapt to a work environment which did not offer the same level of privacy, amenities and comforts as it did in her childhood as a writer. After a while Lois left school because she was seeking marriage. But after divorcing her first husband. Lois moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1962 teaching journalism at the University Of New Mexico. Then earned her masters degree. Right after she married electrical engineer Don Arquette then had 5 children. Right after she had them she went back to writing.
